Customer Reviews

This is a typical Meat and three restaurant but so much better than the usual ones I frequent. The servers know their customers by name and don't mind razzing them in a friendly way. I had not eaten all day so I went "fresh' BBQ with Texas Slaw (yes Texas) and white beans. It was all really good. When I asked the server what Texas slaw was she said 'its really sweet'.....we have red and white slaw too. I went Texas since I have been to Texas yet never heard of nor seen Texas slaw. It was really sweet and I am not sure I'd get it again but it was definitely unique. I like unique. The BBQ was fresh. The sauce was on the side and was vinegar based. The white beans were piping hot and good as well. My travel partner got the 3 veggie plate and liked it. Their cornbread is different. Not bad. Just different. Almost like cornbread and cornpone had a pastry baby.

Great food! Great service! The staff was extremely friendly and captured the atmosphere of a small town. Great place to have a date night where you can just enjoy the food. And if the weather is right then you can even sit outside.

We met some family and friends here. They had been here before. The restaurant was busy and we opted to sit outside. Our waitress came over quickly and got our orders. She was friendly and attentive. We ordered the appetizer sampler it was good. Our orders included Shrimp plate, Catfish plates, Flounder plate, and Quesadilla. The food was really good.

The Denton in-laws have been telling mouthwatering tales about the village for years and I finally made it in to dine, and I'll be back. Great food and excellent customer service. Thank you for hanging onto my toddler's stuffed Hello Kitty and helping reunite them; you made her very happy.
